To The Women Of CorssPointe

Hello to all the women of Crosspointe! I wanted to let you all know what a blessing it is to have been given the chance to meet you all. You all are amazing women of Christ. I love coming to this sight and being able to read about things going on with you all. Even though I may be miles away I can still feel some what connected to a wonderful group of people.

This e-mail is not only to say hello, I am asking for prayer for a good friend of mine here in Lakeland.

Many of you know that before God brought us to Columbus I had not only work with but was best friends with a physician here in Lakeland. She has been a single mom of 1 for over 10 years. Her son has just graduated high school this year. And he will be heading to Auburn in the fall.
Less than a month after we had returned to Lakeland she was diagnosed with a very large (10x10) chest tumor that was so hard it was pressing on and had shifted her sternum . When the biopsy were done it was determined cancerous, the complicated thing was that they could not determine what type of cancer. She went through two biopsy that were sent to Moffitt Cancer center and also to New York still with no agreement on what type. At this time they did elect to do 3 radiation treatments to try to relive some of the difficulty with breathing and swelling (swelling of the face, arms because of the lack of blood flow) These 3 treatments did give her relief. Which we give all the glory to God. On Easter Sunday after all most 3 months since diagnosed with cancer she was flew out to MD Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston Texas. There she once again went through many test for a week. Once again they still could not determine the type or treatment, but did find out that the 3 radiation treatments did shrink it by 40% which all Praise and Glory to our Lord!!! In all she had to return to Houston 3 times for more testing and poking before the determined to be Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Her treatment is chemotherapy every 2 weeks for 6 months followed by approximately 25-30 radiation treatments.

Our church secretary has been lead to make her a prayer blanket. A prayer blanket is just a patch work blanket that has tassels between the patches. A knot is tied in a tassel when a prayer is sent on her behalf. It is NOTHING more than a blanket that is presented to her to let her know that prayer are being sent on her behalf for God's complete healing,or minimal side effects through her treatments whatever be God's will for her. If you would please send me an e-mail tntkatz@aol.com when you say a prayer for her I will tie a knot in a tassel. Once again this blanket is intended for nothing more than to give her a little extra comfort knowing that prayers are being sent up to our Lord and Savoir on her behalf not only here in Lakeland but all over.

I give all praise and glory to our Heavenly Father for all he has done and all he will do.

Thank you

Just wanted to share that my favorite Christmas song is Oh, Holy Night and it's a great one to belt out loudly when all alone in the car or house. I love it!

Thanks for your comment, Krystee. Everyone has a story to tell, and that is one thing that makes Christmas time special. This week at a group gathering, all I did was ask folks to tell about one of their worst or most memorable Christmas memories, and it was great to hear the stories that came out! I love significant conversations.

Elayne, thank you so much for sharing about your experiences in China. Every year, I get a bit overwhelmed at the holidays. I enjoy all of the time with friends, and family, and I LOVE to tell Pierce the story of Jesus' birth when we place the nativity scene out for the holidays. I really want to help keep our focus on Jesus by being sure that in the midst even of decorating we slow down and spend time talking about Jesus and what he came here to do for us! It's wonderful to hear your story, and I pray that each of us will find a way to enjoy the simple, amazing, and powerful beauty of Christ this Christmas.
