Connect ‘09 was finally here yesterday.  It seems like we’ve been planning it & talking about it for months – oh, wait, we have :) .  It was a wonderful event involving many different women using their many gifts to minister to others.  Their service was a blessing to the 65 women were there to connect with each other and with God.

Thank you, God, for letting us be a part of your Body!

BREAKOUT WORKSHOP I

INTENTIONAL LIVING ___________________ Karen Rosa

In this workshop, we will explore the intent of our hearts as women, wives, mothers, daughters and professionals. Are we living intentionally to please our God because we love Him? Are we allowing Him to enable us to love others? Join us as we examine these issues and draw closer to him in doing so.

WAITING ON THE LORD __________________ Beth Cox

In today’s fast-paced world, we need to slow down and take time to wait expectantly on the Lord. In this workshop, we will look at some practical ways that we can do this and begin to learn how to put the ideas into practice.

LIVING A LIFE OF MINISTRY _____________ Elayne Saucier
This study will help you understand various women in the Bible who lived lives of ministry. Whether single, married, with children, without children, young or old, you are equipped to minister to other people! Come and explore this topic as we share ways to engage our culture and others for Christ.

MOVING FORWARD __________________ Krystee Edwards

Forgiveness is often difficult to receive and to give. This workshop will focus on how much we have been forgiven, and how important accepting our past sins as forgiven is to moving forward in Christ. Understanding this truth and walking in it is extremely challenging, but will strengthen our faith in a mighty way.

BREAKOUT WORKSHOP II

HONORING GOD’S TEMPLE ________________  Jenny Hord

What does being healthy look like in the life of a busy Christian? How can we honor God with what we put into our bodies? This workshop will provide food for thought on the implications this might have on a believer’s nutrition and lifestyle.

VIEWING GOD’S WONDER THROUGH THE LENS
OF A CAMERA ______________________  Kristian Ogden

In this workshop, you will learn some basics on how to better capture the beauty of God’s creation and your family’s memories. Kristian is a portrait and wedding photographer who will share some of her digital photography knowledge and tips that havehelped her grow in her art. It’s recommended that you bring your camera!

FAITHFUL IN THE SMALL THINGS ________ Danielle Counts

In this session, you will be given many practical ways to stretch your dollar. We will look at what God says about our money, and how free we can feel to spend money after a few steps are put into place. Join us as we learn to control our money so that it doesn’t control us.

SCRAP A PRAYER _________________ Tiffany Clark

This fun, interactive workshop will be a blast and is sure to bless you as well! During this session, you will create a mini-scrapbook involving the theme of prayer. You will enjoy excellent instruction and will adore the final result. Even the most “craft challenged” women will love this one!
